Dino Show

T-Rex and baby dinosaurs are about to stalk Life Science Centre (Life) this October half term in a show that will take families on an exciting journey back to prehistoric times.

Visitors can get up close with a two-metre high animatronic of everyone’s favourite flesh-eating giant, the Tyrannosaurus Rex, as well as three baby dinosaurs, and have the chance to take pictures with the prehistoric creatures.

The interactive shows by guests Teach Rex, are included in the price of science centre entry, with several shows running throughout the day between Saturday 26 October and Friday 1 November only.

Life Chief Executive Linda Conlon said: “Dinosaurs have always been a firm favourite at Life, so we are thrilled to be welcoming them back.

“The Anatomy of a Dinosaur show is both exciting and educational for children and adults alike and it gives visitors a fantastic opportunity to engage with these realistic prehistoric creatures and learn more about their anatomy and life when they roamed the Earth millions of years ago.”

Alongside the Teach Rex show there are plenty of other spooky and engaging activities to keep children entertained including the chance to examine real minibeasts in the Experiment Zone (ages 7+) and create a spooky wind-powered contraption in the Making Studios. Other highlights include the animated 360° dome show Earth Defenders and a live show celebrating iconic local inventions and other hands-on exhibitions and activities.

The Anatomy of a Dinosaur show will roar into action on Saturday 26 October until Friday 1 November – you can get a sneak peek of the dinosaurs in action in a school workshop here
