Dinosaurs set to roam at Ocean Beach South Shields
Visitors to South Shields’ premier amusement park are in for a Jurassic treat with the arrival of a brand new attraction.
Ocean Beach Pleasure Park is set to unveil Dinosaur Cove, an exciting adventure golf experience, featuring two golf courses.
And to mark the opening there will be a special launch event on Sunday 13 April, with a prehistoric parade featuring Robbie the Rex and Baby Phoebe.
From 1pm visitors to the park will be able to get up-close-and-personal with the dinosaurs, as they do 30 minute roam arounds, starting at the new golf attraction and then moving on around Ocean Beach.
Along with the new Dinosaur Cove course, the attraction features Smugglers Cove, with visitors able to choose between a round of golf at one – or both.
Dinosaur Cove arrives just in time for the Easter holidays, when Ocean Beach will be open every day from 11:30am, with an earlier 10am start on Good Friday.
Entry to Dinosaur Cove starts from just ÂŁ5.50 for a child or OAP and ÂŁ6.50p for adults along with a family ticket at ÂŁ22 for two adults and two children.
Costs for both courses are ÂŁ9 for children, ÂŁ11 for adults and ÂŁ35 for a family ticket.
The new arrivals will add to the already exciting range of experiences which the funfair has to offer.
Thrill seekers can still enjoy a host of high adrenaline rides, including Space, Breakdance, Super Jumper and the Spinning Coaster.
Families can take a spin on favourites such as the Speedy Coaster, Pirate Ship and Wave Swinger, while younger visitors can enjoy classic kids’ rides like the Disney Train, Balloon Wheel, Formula and Teacups.
