Police officer arrested over crash in Rochdale
A man has been left in a life-threatening condition in hospital
A serving Greater Manchester Police officer has been arrested over a crash in Rochdale, which has left a man in a life-threatening condition in hospital.
It is believed three cars were travelling along Yorkshire Street on Friday night (01 November) when one hit a 42-year-old man, who was trying to cross the road.
He was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains this morning (04 November).
Two men were arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, one of them an off-duty police officer.
Both have been released on bail while investigations continue, and the incident has been reported to GMP's Professional Standards Directorate.
