Woman suffers serious injuries after being hit by car in Salford

A woman is in hospital with serious and potentially life-changing injuries after being hit by a car in Salford.
A black Volkswagen Gold R travelling along Cromwell Road at around 4pm yesterday (23 December) when it hit the 30-year-old pedestrian near the junction with Jockey Street.
A 27-year-old man is being questioned on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Officers want anyone who saw the incident - or who may have dashcam or doorbell footage - to share it with officers in GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit by calling 0161 856 4741, quoting incident number 2269 of 23/12/2023.
