Woman in hospital after being hit by car in Denton
It happened near the Crown Point Retail Park
A woman in her 70s is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was knocked down by a car near the Crown Point Retail Park in Tameside.
Emergency services were called to the Worthington Way junction with Ashton Road in Denton at around 1:30pm yesterday (Monday 19 February 2024).
The woman pedestrian remains in hospital for treatment. The driver remained at the scene to assist officers with their enquiries.
No arrests have been made.
GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.
