A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder
A woman is fighting for her life in hospital after being found seriously injured at a house in Tameside.
Police were called to reports of a disturbance on Currier Lane, Ashton-under-Lyne just before 5pm on Monday 13 March.
A woman, 33, found inside the property, was rushed to hospital in a life-threatening condition.
A 39-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to reports of a disturbance at Currier Lane, Ashton-under-Lyne, at about 4:50pm on 13 March 2023. A woman, 33. was found inside a property with serious injuries and is now in hospital in a life-threatening condition.
"A 39-year-old man was later located and arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, with the investigation ongoing. There is a scene at the location but no wider threat to the community."
