Woman dies after driver loses control of car and hits pedestrians in Droylsden

A woman's died after a man in his 70s lost control of his vehicle and collided with three passengers in Droylsden this lunchtime.

Officers were called at around 12.15pm to Haddon Hall Road - emergency services attended but despite the best efforts of paramedics a woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Two further female pedestrians have been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver has remained at the scene to assist police with their enquiries.

No arrests have been made.
