Wife of Bolton man killed in crash pays tribute to "amazing" husband

The wife of a man who died following a collision in Bolton yesterday says her world has fallen apart.

Ian Wilcox, 42, was involved in a crash on Tonge Moor Road shortly before 5:15am on Monday, 7th August, he was taken to hospital but sadly died a short time later.

Paying tribute to him, Ian’s wife Cathryn (pictured right) said: “"Our world fell apart yesterday when Ian Wilcox, amazing husband, father to two young daughters, loving son, son and brother in law, uncle, nephew and firm friend to many was tragically killed in a collision on a busy Bolton road.

“Ian, who loved football, live music, beer and the group Queen, leaves a void that can never be filled."

Police are continuing to urge witnesses to the incident to come forward, particularly anyone with dash cam footage.
