Weather warning issued with heavy rain set to batter north west
The Met Office said it could lead to flooding and travel disruption
A fresh yellow weather warning has been issued for the north west, with heavy rain expected to batter the region.
The Met Office issued the warning from 16:00GMT on Thursday 05 November, and it won't lift until 06:00GMT on Sunday 08 December.
Forecasters said people can expect bus and train journeys to be affected by the bad weather, and spray and flooding is possible on roads.
A further yellow warning for wind has been issued, between 15:00GMT on Thursday 05 November and 06:00 on Sunday 08 December.
The Met Office advises people to take steps to protect their property from heavy winds and says: "Check for loose items outside your home and plan how you could secure them.
"Items include bins, garden furniture, trampolines, tents, sheds and fences."
It adds in the warning: "If you are on the coast, stay safe during stormy weather by being aware of large waves.
"Even from the shore large breaking waves can sweep you off your feet and out to sea."
