Bolton based bakery chain Warburtons is set to donate one million products to families in need.

The fresh products will be donated by the end of 2022 and the pledge has been made by the newly launched Warburtons Foundation.

The donation of freshly baked goods will go directly to those families most in need through community hubs, including schools and food banks.

It's set to include the donation of bread to over 30 schools, through a trial partnership with Magic Breakfast.

Additionally, the Warburtons Foundation is launching the ‘Bake the Most of Life’ programme, with a target of reaching 1.5 million children in the next three years by offering both primary and secondary schools free lesson plans designed to engage kids on the topics of both healthy eating and the origin of food.

Local charities will have the opportunity to apply for a grant from £400 up to £20,000 to support work they do in the community.
