A 16-year-old Burnley boy who thought he had flu has died- just weeks after being rushed into hospital.
Ethan Hunt had sepsis- and sadly lost his fight earlier this week at Wythenshawe Hospital.
In a post by his sister- that’s been shared hundreds of times- and liked by more than a thousand- she tragically revealed Ethan had died surrounded his family.
“It is with deep regret that I have to say this, I never in a million years thought I would have to.
“Ethan sadly passed away at 10:02 last night surrounded by myself and our mum and dad.
“He fought so so hard but he was too good for this world. I will miss him and think of him every single day for the rest of my life.
“He was the most amazing boy, son, brother, friend, boyfriend that any of us could have ever wished for. I love you so so so much Ethan, until we meet again baby brother.”
It was just a month after he’d come down with flu like symptoms- which actually turned out to be sepsis- and lead to both his legs being amputated.
Ethan worked at Turf Moor on match days, so Burnley Football Club and his school- Blessed Trinity have joined the hundreds paying their respects to him.
