Tributes are being paid to a Manchester University Student who went missing on a night out.

Charlie Bartlett's brother Harry posted an appeal on Facebook after not hearing from him since he attended a black-tie ball with the Student's Union on Saturday night. He was later spotted at the club Sound Control.

Emergency services were called to a building site on Oxford Road just before 8am yesterday (Monday 8th May) following reports a body had been found. GMP has confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious.

Harry posted on his Facebook page:

“Unfortunately the news is horrible - my little brother’s body has been found. On behalf of the whole family I want to thank everyone, friends and strangers who have reached out and showed support, sent love and wishes and helped to try and find him. It really has helped so much I can’t thank you all enough seriously. Rest in peace Chuck xx.”

A number of tributes have been paid to Charlie on social media. He's been described as a ‘handsome, intelligent’ man who was ‘truly loved by all’.
