More tickets due to go on sale for 'We Are Manchester' benefit gig

Stand-up comedian Russell Kane has been revealed as the host of the We Are Manchester benefit concert next month, as bosses at The Arena confirm more tickets will soon be availabel for the sold out gig.

Kane will join Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, The Courteeners, Blossoms, Rick Astley, Pixie Lott, ‘Longfella’ poet Tony Walsh and others at the event that will officially reopen the venue on 9th September.

A second release of tickets will go on sale at 9am Wednesday 30th August.

All profits from the concert will raise money for the Manchester Memorial Fund, a charitable trust overseen by the Lord Mayor of Manchester which will go towards establishing a permanent memorial for the 22nd May attack.

Security will be high at the event and no backpacks or bags larger than 35cm x 40cm x 19cm will be allowed inside the venue.
