Three injured after car crashes into pedestrians in Stockport

Three people have been taken to hospital after a car crashed into several other vehicles and pedestrians in Stockport.

Three people have been taken to hospital after a blue Ford Fiesta crashed into several pedestrians and cars, in South Reddish in the early hours of this morning (Saturday 7 December).

Police were called to Ambleside Road at around 2.50am, and say three people were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Ambleside Road has now reopened after road closures were in place throughout the morning, and no arrests have been made.

Detective Sergeant Karen Wileman of the Stockport division said:

“This was a reckless incident that has left several people injured and fearing for their safety.

“Although no arrests have been made police are currently on the scene and are working hard to find those responsible.

“If you were on or around Ambleside road in the early hours of this morning at the time of the incident and heard or saw anything unusual or suspicious please contact police as a matter of urgency.”
