A teenager has been charged with murder as police continue to investigate the death of a man who was stabbed to death in Tyldesley almost a year ago.

Thomas Williamson, 30, died after being attacked on Charles Street in September.

18-year-old Kane Adamson has been remanded in custody ahead of a hearing today at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Kane Adamson, 13/09/2003, currently of no fixed address, has been charged with murder.

"He’s been remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court today (Saturday 2nd July 2022).

"The charge relates to the death of 30-year-old Thomas Williamson who sadly died from stab wounds after being attacked on Charles Street in Tyldesley on the 25 September 2021."
