There's a new way of keeping kids fit - 'Train Like A Jedi'.
The programme's been developed by Public Health England and Disney UK after it was revealed less than a quarter of children are doing enough exercise but more than three quarters are inspired to move by seeing their favourite characters being active.
It encourages kids to copy a video of double Olympic gold medalist Jane Jones doing 12 Jedi inspired moves that will help them develop technique, strength, stamina, speed, agility and mastery whilst alaso increasing their heart rates and benefiting their health.
Jade Jones said:
“Inspiring kids to get active is something I’m really passionate about, so I was thrilled to get the opportunity to help kids across the country with Change4Life and Star Wars.
“It was great fun to create the Jedi-inspired moves which can be done anytime and anywhere – both at school and home. I hope that through this new programme we can inspire a new generation to move more by showing kids that physical activity can be really fun.
