The 22 victims of the Manchester Arena atrocity will be remembered at a service marking the first anniversary of the tragedy later.
Hundreds of people are expected to turn out to special memorial events throughout the day. Prince William and Theresa May among those due to attend Manchester Cathedral.
They will be joined by members of the emergency services who were on the scene on the night of the attack.
There will also be a mass sing-a-long in Albert Square where 80 choirs will lend their voices to four iconic songs to, once again, bring the city together.
From an eight-year-old schoolgirl to an off-duty police officer, these are the people who lost their lives in the terror attack on May 22 last year.
Saffie Roussos, eight.
The youngest victim of the atrocity, eight-year-old Saffie had been at the Ariana Grande concert with her mother Lisa Roussos and sister Ashlee Bromwich, who is in her twenties, from Leyland, Lancashire.
Sorrell Leczkowski, 14.
Sorrell, from Adel, Leeds, died after the concert attack which also left her mother and grandmother seriously injured in hospital.
The three of them had gone to the arena to collect two girls who attended the concert.
Eilidh MacLeod, 14.
Scottish schoolgirl Eilidh, from Barra in the Outer Hebrides, was at the concert with friend Laura MacIntyre, 15, who was seriously injured.
Nell Jones, 14.
Nell, 14, a pupil at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive and Sixth Form in Cheshire, died at the scene of the blast.
Olivia Campbell-Hardy, 15.
Olivia, from Bury, was among the first victims to be named.
The 15-year-old went to Tottington High School and had been to the concert with her friend Adam.
Megan Hurley, 15.
Schoolgirl Megan was the final victim to be named.
A pupil of Halewood Academy in Liverpool, the teenager reportedly went to the concert with her older brother who was seriously injured.
Georgina Callander, 18.
Georgina, from Chorley, was in her second year of studying health and social care at Runshaw College in Leyland, and had previously been a pupil at Bishop Rawstorne Church of England Academy.
Chloe Rutherford, 17, and Liam Curry, 19.
The teenage sweethearts from South Shields were said to be "inseparable''.
Mr Curry, a former pupil of Gateshead College, was studying for a degree in sport and exercise science at Northumbria University, while Miss Rutherford was studying music at college and was about to start an apprenticeship in travel.
Courtney Boyle, 19, and Philip Tron, 32.
Leeds Beckett University student Courtney Boyle, 19, and her mother's partner Philip Tron, 32, both from Gateshead, were also killed.
John Atkinson, 26.
Mr Atkinson, 26, from Bury, was named by friends on Facebook as a victim.
Martyn Hett, 29.
The Stockport PR manager, who had appeared on TV shows Come Dine With Me and Tattoo Fixers, was killed just days before he was to set off on a two-month trip to the US.
He was a Coronation Street super-fan and is now remembered in a permanent memorial, along with the other 21 victims, on the set of the soap.
Kelly Brewster, 32.
Ms Brewster, from Sheffield, was reported by friends and family to be among those killed in the attack.
Angelika, 39, and Marcin Klis, 42.
The Polish couple, from York, died after going to Manchester Arena to collect their daughters from the concert.
Elaine McIver, 43.
The off-duty Cheshire Police officer Elaine McIver was killed, while her partner Paul was injured in the attack.
Michelle Kiss, 45.
Ms Kiss, from Blackburn, mother to Dylan, Elliot and Millie, also died.
Alison Howe, 45, and Lisa Lees, 43.
Mrs Howe, 45, from Royton, died alongside Mrs Lees as they stood waiting for their two daughters, Darcy and India, to meet them in the foyer of the Manchester Arena.
Wendy Fawell, 50.
Ms Fawell, a mother from Otley in West Yorkshire, was reported to have been about to leave the concert with her 15-year-old daughter Charlotte, along with a friend and her sons, when they were caught in the attack.
Jane Tweddle, 51.
The school receptionist and mother of three, from Blackpool, was at the arena waiting for a friend's daughter when the blast happened.
She was the wife of ex-Hartlepool United player Mark Taylor.
