Teenage cyclist dies after crash with lorry in Manchester city centre
A 55-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving
An investigation has been launched into a crash which left a 19-year-old cyclist dead.
The teenager was cyclising along Great Bridgewater Street at around midday on Wednesday 24th May, when he was involved in a collision with a lorry near the junction with Watson Street.
Emergency services attended but, sadly, the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 55-year-man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and remains in police custody for questioning.
