Police investigate suspected shooting at pub in Trafford

GMP say they're keeping an "open mind" as to what caused the damage

An investigation is underway into a potential shooting at a pub in Trafford.

At around 11.30pm last night (Sunday 15 January 2023) officers received a report of a suspected shooting at The Nags Head on Lostock Road, Urmston.

Officers attended the scene and found damage to a window of a property.

Greater Manchester Police say enquiries are ongoing to work out whether or not the damage was caused by a gun.

A scene remains in place at the pub whilst officers continue their enquiries.

Detective Inspector Matt Dixon of GMP’s Trafford District, said: “We are keeping an open mind in relation to how the damage has been caused. There will be an increased police presence in the surrounding area as we carry out our enquiries today and I would encourage anyone who feels they have information that can assist us to please approach our officers.

“Detectives are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have footage, including dashcam, mobile phone or CCTV/ doorbell footage from this area in the moments leading up to and after this incident happened.
