St. George's Day parade 2019 road closures

Road closures will be in place as the annual St. George's Day parade makes its way through Manchester City Centre.

Council bosses are warning road closures will be in place on Monday April 22 to make way for the annual St. George's Day parade through Manchester City Centre.

Rolling road closures will be in effect and local diversions will be in place.

Thousands of people are expected to line the route.

Street performers, dancers, scooters and floats will make their way around the city.

The event is set to run from 9am to 4pm.

Oldham Road from Varley Street to Gt Ancoats Street between 11:45am and 2:15pm

Gt Ancoats Street from Oldham Road to Newton Street between 12:15pm and 12:30pm

Oldham Street from Gt Ancoats Street to Piccadilly between 12:15pm and 1:45pm

Piccadilly from Oldham Street to Newton Street between 12:15pm and 1:45pm
