Investigation launched after New Year's Day shooting in Salford

Detectives are appealing for witnesses

An investigation is underway following a shooting in Salford.

At around 00:50am on New Year’s Day, officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Ryecroft Avenue.

Police have found after an initial invesitgation, that a gun had been fired through the front ground floor window of a property.

No injuries were reported at the time and no arrests have been made.

Detectives are now appealing for witnesses and any further information that may help with their investigation, including doorbell footage.
