Police are appealing for information after shots were fired at a house in Ancoats. Shortly after 10pm on Saturday 16 April 2016, a dark coloured car pulled up outside a house on Weybridge Road in Ancoats, Manchester. Two men are reported to have got out of the car and fired several shots at the house hitting the brick work. They then got back in the car and drove away. No one was hurt. Police are appealing for information and witnesses. Detective Chief Inspector Andy Cunliffe said: “There was a woman and her two young children in the house at the time but thankfully no one was hurt. “While incidents of this nature are rare in this area, it will be naturally concerning for the community and we are doing everything we can to establish what happened and who was involved. It is early stages but we believe this to be a targeted attack. We will have officers in the area over the coming days and I would urge anyone with concerns to come and speak to us. “I have a team of detectives working on this case and we are urging anyone with information, no matter how small, to get in touch with police. If you were in the area at the time and saw any suspicious activity or a dark coloured vehicle approaching or leaving then we would be interested to speak to you.” Anyone with information should call police on 0161 856 3015 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
