A huge fire has broken out at The Christie hospital in Manchester.

We're told the blaze has engulfed The Patterson Building next door which is used by Cancer Research UK scientists and Manchester University.

Emergency services were called to Wilmslow Road at 10.36am.

A number of the surrounding routes have been closed off whilst crews bring it under control.
