Police are appealing for information after a property on Market Street in Droylsden had a brick thrown throw a window before a fire had to be extinguished.

This happened just a few days before a similar in incident took place at the same property.

Officers are treating both incidents as attempted arson. No injuries have been reported.

Detective Sergeant Aidan Kennedy said: "This is incredibly distressing for the family involved, and we are doing our utmost to support them and ensure their safety.

"We have launched a full investigation into why this is taking place and who is responsible, and we are looking to the local community who might be able to offer information that could assist in our investigation.

"You might live in or have visited the surrounding area and recall seeing someone acting suspiciously. Any piece of information, no matter how small could help us to identify who is responsible for these repeated attacks."
