Homes in Manchester city centre were left without electricity and water on Thursday night (09 January), amid freezing temperatures.
Lights went out on Deansgate at around 20:00GMT, affecting close to 1,800 properties, according to Electricity North West.
The blackout affected water pumps, leaving some homes without hot water, as temperatures fell well below zero.
Power was restored at around 23:00, according to the Electricity North West website.
