In Wigan £20,000,000 is set to be given to the local authority, set aside for the redevelopment of Haigh Hall.
Meanwhile, Oldham Borough Council will also receive £20,000,000 to boost businesses and skills in the region. Its money will go towards "creating new spaces for green businesses and a new Learning Centre offering vocational courses to strengthen environmental skills."
Over in Trafford, councillors there will get just over £18.2 million over the overhaul of Partington Sports Village. The government say the redevelopment there will provide state-of-the-art facilities for the local community.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said:
“Through greater investment in local areas, we can grow the economy, create good jobs and spread opportunity everywhere.
“That’s why we are backing more than 100 projects with new transformational funding to level up local communities across the United Kingdom.
“By reaching even more parts of the country than before, we will build a future of optimism and pride in people’s lives and the places they call home.”
