Police name man, 24, fatally stabbed in Ancoats

A man who was fatally stabbed in Ancoats earlier this week has been formally identified as 24-year-old Neri Morse.
Neri died following an incident on Pollard Street at around 6.30pm on Wednesday 20 April 2022.
Another man, also in his 20s, was taken to hospital, where he's continuing to receive treatment for leg injuries.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is in police custody for questioning.
A 23-year-old man previously arrested on suspicion of murder remains in police custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Wes Knights, of GMP's Major Incident Team, said: "Our thoughts are with Neri's loved ones at this heart-breaking time. As our investigation continues, specially trained colleagues are supporting them.
"Since Wednesday night, we have built a detailed picture of the events leading up to this incident and, though we have two males in custody, enquiries are ongoing to ensure those involved are brought to face justice.
