Police are investigating reports £35,000 has been stolen from the burnt out Chinese cash and carry in Beswick.

Wing Fat on Ashton Old Road went up in flames last Tuesday (24th October 2017) morning.

Greater Manchester Police says:

"On Sunday 29 October 2017 police received a report of a burglary at a supermarket on Ashton Old Road, Beswick that occurred sometime between 5pm on Wednesday 25 October and 9.30am on Sunday 29 October.

"It’s been reported that a large amount of cash had been taken from an office in the supermarket and enquiries are continuing.

"Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting reference number 714 of 24/10/17 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111"
