Police continue to appeal for information over attack on two men in Manchester City Centre
The two men suffered serious injuries in the incident on Dale Street
Police are continuing to appeal for information after two men were attacked in Manchester city centre, suffering serious injuries.
Emergency services were called to Dale Street at approximately 6.30pm on Wednesday. Officers say one of the men is still receiving treatment for 'life threatening injuries'.
Greater Manchester Police are currently looking into six men, who are thought to have been in the area at the time.
Three men were initially arrested - two have been released without charge, and a third man has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Detective Chief Inspector, David Moores, of the Serious Crime Division of the Major Incident Team said: "This incident occurred at a place where there would have been a lot of footfall, due to it being school summer holidays and after work for most people.
"There were a lot of people out walking and shopping, and the canal bridge heading towards the Northern Quarter was busy. We are now appealing to anyone, who may have mobile phone footage, to come forward to assist with our enquiries."
Police say they are now looking for CCTV or dashcam footage from the night in question.
DCI Moores continued: ""This is an extremely serious incident and the Major Incident Team are continuing to work tirelessly to investigate.
"We have now opened a major incident public portal online where anyone can submit information that can help us with this investigation."
The public portal can be accessed here. Alternatively GMP can be contacted on 101.
