Greater Manchester Police have confirmed a 15-year-old boy has died

Greater Manchester Police have confirmed a 15-year-old boy died following a collision on the M60 yesterday (20 July).

The M60 was closed for several hours in both directions between Junction 19 and Junction 21.

Emergency services were called to the collision which took place near to Junction 19 and Junction 21, in the early afternoon after receiving reports of a concern for welfare.

Oasis fans travelling to their final gig at Heaton Park were among those caught in the disruption.

The motorway has since reopened.
