The Rolling Stones are coming to the stadium in June
Last updated 26th Feb 2018
The home of Manchester United is set to start hosting concerts again as of the summer.
Old Trafford Football Stadium will play host to The Rolling Stones on 5th June, followed by Billy Joel a few days later on 16th.
In the past, the venue has welcomed some iconic names like Rod Stewart in 1991, Simply Red in 1996, Bonjovi in 2003 and Bruce Springsteen in 2008.
The Rolling Stones will be the next big name after announcing their 2018 tour - promising to treat fans to a set list packed full of classics like ‘Satisfaction’, ‘Paint It Black’, ‘Tumbling Dice’ & ‘Brown Sugar’, as well as a couple of unexpected tracks.
Lead singer Mick Jagger said: ‘‘This part of the ‘No Filter’ tour is really special for the Stones. We are looking forward to getting back onstage in the summer and playing to fans in the UK and Ireland. It’s always exhilarating going to cities we haven’t played for quite a while and also some new venues for us like Old Trafford."
