This year's search for the North West's best puddle jumper is underway!
The 2023 North West Puddle Jumping Championships gets underway today (11 February) at WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre in Lancashire.
Judges are looking for the most creative puddle jumpers and those who can get the biggest splash!
Harriet Koppel from WWT Martin Mere said:
"They'll (participants) have a go at three puddle jumping puddles and we'll vote on how creative they are and the height of the splash.
"Anything you can think of, go for it! We had one year where somebody just went flop on the floor!
"It's the perfect weather for it because whether it's raining or not, you can come down and enjoy puddle jumping!"
