Murder investigation underway in Salford
A man's body was discovered at a house on Cook Street.
Police were called to an address on Cook Street in Salford at 7.26am on Tuesday 22 June to a report of a concern for the welfare of a man.
Emergency Services attended, and discovered the body of a 48 year old man.
A murder investigation has now been launched into the circumstances surrounding his death.
Detective Chief Inspector Ben Cottam, from GMP's Major Incident Team said:
"Detectives have now launched an investigation and are following a number of lines of inquiry to try and piece together what has happened and to find and bring to justice whoever is responsible.
"There will be an increase in officers in the local area, while the initial stages of the investigation progresses.
