Jose Mourinho has confirmed that United are in negotiations with Alexis Sanchez, but the deal is still yet to be completed.

Sanchez, who is out of contract at Arsenal in June, is thought to be joining United, with the reds midfielder Mkhitaryan heading the other way to North London.

The Portuguese said: “Clearly everybody knows that we are there, especially when the Arsenal manager speaks so clearly like he did. There is no point in trying to deny. But (it’s) not done, not done at all.”

Mourinho revealed that he does not get involved with transfer negotiations, instead choosing to “switch off and to focus on what is the most important thing – which is the match tomorrow”.

He added: “In my case when it goes to the table of negotiations, I like to be out. I’m out and I will just be calmly waiting for news. No more than that.”

United face Burnley this weekend, with the majority of the team available for selection.

Mourinho revealed that Daley Blind has suffered from a minor injury in training, while Bailly and Zlatan are still recovering.

Ashley Young is available for selection, after serving a three match ban.
