Jose Mourinho says the Champions League is where United belong ahead of tomorrow's game.
The United manager says he feels much weaker without Marouane Fellaini in the United squad.
The Belgian midifelder missed the Reds' recent draw against Stoke City due to picking up a knock while away on international duty.
The United boss say he will pick Fellaini if he passes a fitness test for tomorrow's Champions League opener.
Speaking ahead of the game Mourinho said: "Fellaini's a very important player for me, much more than you can imagine. Whether it is on the pitch or on the bench. He didn't train yesterday but if his condition's improved he will be selected."
Mourinho also confirmed that Victor Lindelof and Chris Smalling will start at the heart of defence as Eric Bailly and Phil Jonse are injured.
David De Gea also spoke to the media ahead of tomorrow's game, he said his recent save against Stoke City which many pundits labeled one of his best was great but left him feeling sad as United conceded shortly after it.
Both Mourinho and De Gea say they're looking forward to the game and the squad are highly motivated.
The Reds Group A game will be their first in Europe's top competition in over a year. United qualified for the Champions League after winning last season's Europa League final against Ajax in Stockholm.
