Cannabis farm worth up to £1.8m uncovered by police in Rochdale

A cannabis farm worth £1.8 million has been uncovered by police following a fire in Rochdale.

At around 2:30pm on Saturday 12 November 2022, emergency services were called to a premises on Harbour Lane in Milnrow.

GMP officers attended the scene and located a large cannabis farm and illegally bypassed electricity connections which had resultantly caught on fire.

1800 cannabis plants worth a total of £1million street value (£1.8million should the grow have reached maturity), were seized from the premises and have since been destroyed.

Greater Manchester Police have since launched an investigation into this and are conducting further enquiries.
