Manchester United star striker Marcus Rashford has escaped unhurt after being involved in a car crash.

The footballer was believed to be in a car that crashed as the Red Devils were coming back from their victory against Burnley on Saturday (September 23rd).

After winning against Burnley at Turf Moor in a crucial Premier League match, the team were returning to their training base in Carrington.

The team were able to retrieve their belongings on the team bus, before being able to drive home from the grounds.

It was at this time that the incident was said to have taken place, with Marcus being able to escape the crash unharmed, according to the Press Association.

Footage and pictures that emerged online in the wake of the accident showed considerable damage to the back of the striker's Rolls Royce.

Clips also showed the car had partially gone off the road, with debris thrown over the road where the crash happened.

Emergency services were called to the scene in order to treat both parties - but Rashford needed no medical treatment.

No arrests were made as a result of the crash, and police have closed their investigations.

Marcus later posted to his social media posts that he was "alright" in the aftermath of the crash and thanked his fans for the messages of support.

25-year-old Marcus was a key player in Manchester United's victory at Burnley's home ground. The team came out on top, with the score being 1-0 at full time.
