Manchester United are through the Europa League final after beating Roma in the semi-final.
The Red Devils made it fifth time lucky thanks to their advantage from last Thursday's 6-2 first-leg thrashing of the Giallorossi at an empty Old Trafford.
Last season United fell at the final four stage of the Carabao Cup, FA Cup and Europa League, with another semi-final exit arriving in this term's Carabao Cup.
On the night Roma fought back causing United to suffer a narrow defeat, losing the match 3-2.
But the Reds are Gdansk-bound after getting past Roma 8-5 over the two legs of their semi.
The win also marks Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first final in charge of United and puts the 1999 treble hero on course for his first piece of silverware as manager at the club.
Speaking before the match Solskjaer warned about complacency because of the score line, saying saying there have been "bigger upsets'' than the one Roma require in the Europa League.
United went into the match well rested having seen Sunday's Premier League clash against Liverpool called off due to the anti-Glazer protest at Old Trafford.
But tonight's fixture was the first of a run of four games in just eight days.
Manchester United will now play Villarreal in the Gdansk showpiece on Wednesday May 26 - after Arsenal failed to make it an all-English trophy decider.
