Arena attack emergency services given special recognition

Manchester its people and all those who came together in the face of terror are officially the Pride of Britain.

Survivors of the Arena bombing and many of those who helped in the aftermath - attended the star-studded Pride of Britain Awards in London last night.

Paramedics and surgeons in particular were given the special recognition award.

Adam Lawyer was one of those who survived the attack but lost his best friend Olivia Campbell-Hardy he was there to honour those who saved his life.

He told Key 103: "The people on our streets who wear the blue, the florescent yellow jackets and drive around in the fire engines, they're the true heroes of our nation."
