Manchester Dogs Home Fire - One Year On

Published 10th Sep 2015

Today marks a year since a devastating fire tore through the kennels at Manchester Dog’s Home and killed 59 dogs.

The huge blaze ripped through much of the Harpurhey site and caused hundreds of volunteers to take to the streets to try and help provide assistance.

Despite arrests being made at the time, no one has been charged for the incident.

Since the tragedy, over ÂŁ2 million has been raised by the public and other donations to help restore and rebuild the facility in Harpurhey.
