Manchester City have made club history by securing their first ever spot in the Champions League final after beating Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals.
The win also marks their their first UEFA European final in more than 50 years, having last won the European Cup Winners' Cup final in 1970.
The Blues lead Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 on the night and 4-1 on aggregate thanks to two goals from Riyad Mahrez.
The Premier League leaders went into the second leg of their last-four tie with the advantage after producing a superb second-half fightback in the French capital to finish 2-1 up on aggregate .
City were already high in confidence having not only won in Paris but also claimed the Carabao Cup and moved within three points of the Premier League title in the past week.
Pep Guardiola won the competition twice with Barcelona but went out at the last-four stage three times in succession when in charge at Bayern Munich.
The quarter-finals had been his limit in his first four seasons at the Etihad Stadium.
Guardiola said : "In my experience the second leg of the semi-final is always the toughest game, more than the final. It's not just in this club, at all the clubs I have been at.
Ahead of the game City were greeted outside the ground by a large gathering of fans, who withstood torrential rain to welcome the team.
The Champions League was affected by wintry conditions, with ground staff working ahead of the game to clear snow and hailstones from the pitch.
We'll find out tomorrow whether Pep Guardiola's side will face either Chelsea or Real Madrid in the final on the May 29, when the two sides play the second leg of their semi-final which currently stands at 1-1 on aggregate.
