Man rushed to hospital after crash

A man's in hospital with serious injuries after a crash on a main road in and out of Manchester City Centre.

The 30-year-old was involved in a collision with a white van on Hyde Road at about 17:50 (Monday 4th September 2017).

The road was closed for a period of time afterwards and traffic was being diverted via Pottery Lane and Ashton Old Road.

An investigation's underway and police are appealing for witnesses or anyone else with information to contact them.
