Man left with life-changing injuries after Salford stabbing

A man's been rushed to hospital with life-changing injuries, after a stabbing in Salford.
Shortly after 5:30pm yesterday (Thursday 23 March) Greater Manchester Police say they were called to reports of a disturbance between a group of young men at Kenyon Way in Worsley.
A 17 year old boy has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault, and remains in police custody for questioning.
Officers say their initial enquiries suggest it is an isolated incident with no wider risk to the public.
Police are urging anyone who may have been in the area before, during, or after the incident to come forward, as well as anyone who may have CCTV, mobile, dashcam or doorbell footage.
Detective Inspector Sarah Ball of GMP Salford division said: “We understand this incident may cause concern to the local community, but I’d like to reassure residents we have officers working around the clock to establish the circumstances.
“Extra officers have been deployed to the area to reassure the community. If you have any questions or concerns, please speak to them, they are there to support you.
“I would urge members of the public who witnessed anything to please come forward and report this information to us. No matter how small the information may seem, it could prove vital to the investigation.”
