Man left with 'life-threatening' injuries after dog attack in Bolton
It happened on Yewdale Gardens this lunchtime
A man has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being attacked by a dog in Bolton.
The air ambulance was called to Yewdale Gardens at around 1-20 this afternoon.
It's thought man has injuries to his arm and face.
A cordon remains in the area while an investigation takes place.
The dog is now with vets.
In a statement, Greater Manchester Police says:
"Officers were called to Yewdale Gardens, Bolton, at about 1.20pm on Thursday 6 May 2021 to reports a man was being attacked by a dog.
NWAS and an air ambulance attended and a 50-year-old man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries to his arm and face.
A scene remains in place and enquiries are ongoing. The dog has been secured by vets".
