Man taken to hospital after Piccadilly Gardens assault
An investigation is underway
A man has been taken to hospital after being assaulted in Manchester city centre in the early hours of this morning.
Emergency services were called to Piccadilly Gardens at around 3am.
The victim's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Police were called to Piccadilly Gardens at around 03.00am on Tuesday 6 September 2022, to reports of a male who had been assaulted.
"NWAS attended and the victim was taken to hospital for treatment on his injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening.
"A scene is currently in place and enquiries are ongoing."
