Man dies in crash in Bolton

An HGV and a motorbike collided on Tonge Moor Road on Tuesday

A man's died after being knocked off his bike in a crash with a lorry in Bolton.

Emergency services were called at around 12:20pm this afternoon (Tuesday 21 November 2023), to reports of a road traffic collision involving a HGV and a motorbike on Tonge Moor Road.

Despite the best efforts of the emergency crews and the public, a 24-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam, mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.
