A man's died after falling from a building in Manchester City Centre.

A man's died after falling from a building in Manchester City Centre.

Emergency services rushed to Aytoun Street in the Piccadilly area at about 3:30 this morning (Saturday 5th November 2016).

When they arrived they found a 21-year-old man with fatal injuries.

It's thought the victim had climbed scaffolding around a building on Circus Street, prior to the fall.

An investigation's underway and police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contac tthem.

Detective Inspector Vicki Kenyon from GMP’s City Centre team said:

“This is a tragic loss of a young man’s life. My thoughts are with his family at this horrific time.

"I hope to give his family the answers they will be looking for so I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come and speak to me. I currently have an open mind as to the circumstances surrounding his death."
