A 29-year-old man has died from his injuries following a crash in Bolton earlier this month.

Just after 5:30am on Tuesday 21 December 2021, police were called to reports of a crash involving three vehicles on St Helens Road in Bolton.

A white Ford Focus ST has collided with a black Vauhall Corsa near to the junction with Brandwood Street. The Corsa then collided with a third parked, unattended vehicle.

Emergency services attended and one of the drivers, a 29-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he sadly died on Wednesday 29 December 2021.

The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene to assist police with their enquiries.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

Police Constable Oliver Batty, of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said

“This is a devastating incident in which a young man has sadly lost his life. Our thoughts go out to his family, friends and to members of the community who knew him.

"We are still appealing to members of the public who may have witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it. I appeal directly to anyone who may have witnessed this or to anyone who has dash-cam or CCTV footage of this incident.

"This collision happened early in the morning, during the week and we are hopeful that there will have been a number of people who saw this incident and they may be able to assist police with enquiries.”
