Man dies after collision in Oldham

A man has died after a collision in Oldham.

A pedestrian and motorbike were involved on Ripponden Road yesterday afternoon (Saturday 18 May 2024).

The pedestrian, who was in his 70s was pronounced dead at the scene.

The bike rider was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam or mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.
