Ann Marie Pomphret died in November 2018.
A man has been charged with the murder of a horse lover who was found with serious injuries inside a stable in Warrington.
Ann Marie Pomphret 49, was found in Burtonwood on the evening of Friday 2nd November last year and died at the scene.
David Pomphret, 50, who is understood to be her husband, has been charged with her murder, a Cheshire Police spokesman said.
Pomphret, of Masefield Drive in Winwick, was arrested by police as part of their inquiries at the time of her murder and later released on conditional bail.
A police spokeswoman said he was due to appear before Chester magistrates on Thursday after being charged and remanded in custody on Wednesday afternoon.
Mrs Pomphret was discovered shortly after 10.05pm when police were called to stables in Old Alder Lane in Burtonwood following reports of concern.
In a tribute, her family said: "Marie was a beloved daughter, wife and mother. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family out in nature, looking after their horses.
"We are devastated that she has been taken from us so young and in such a senseless way.'
